Earlier this month the communications department of The Navigators met for its first quarterly offsite of 2020. Three of our members are breaking off to help form our new marketing department. Much of our time together focused around how to best divide responsibilities and continue effective collaboration.
I presented on the subject of employer branding and how the communications department will now play a major role in shaping the messaging around the staff brand experience. By effectively communicating how the organization keeps its brand promises to its staff we hope to positively impact job satisfaction, increase staff retention, and improve our recruiting efforts.
